Extreme heat, an often underestimated consequence of climate change, is emerging as one of the most significant threats to health, livelihoods, and ecosystems globally. On December 2, 2024, the All India Disaster Mitigation Institute (AIDMI) convened a virtual roundtable, bringing together experts from the field to discuss strategies for addressing this urgent crisis. The discussions highlighted the need for innovative, inclusive, and scalable solutions to protect vulnerable populations and mitigate the growing risks of extreme heat.
