Extreme heat events are intensifying globally, posing significant threats to health, livelihoods, and ecosystems. In the past year alone, human-induced climate change has resulted in an average of 26 additional extreme heat days worldwide, affecting approximately 78% of the global population. This alarming trend underscores the urgent need to evaluate existing projects and programs to identify gaps and scale up effective interventions.

Leveraging these insights is crucial for enhancing global resilience and fostering collaborative efforts to mitigate the escalating risks associated with extreme heat that is becoming a threat to all living beings. And how can we rethink extreme heat projects and programmes?
