AIDMI organized the Virtual Roundtable on ‘Extreme Heat Adaptation and Mitigation Programming: Lessons from the Affected Population’ on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm IST. This discussion was guided by the special issue of Southasiadisasters.net produced by many of the panel members, which aimed to explore urgent and local ways to take cooling actions to adapt to the extreme heat impact on the most vulnerable populations in South Asia. The roundtable offered an emerging extreme heat context, a range of cooling activities for adaptation, and insights learned from the summer of 2024 to cool better and faster.
