Back to Annual ReportThe All India Disaster Mitigation Institute (AIDMI) Annual Report 2014–2015, titled Celebrating the Success of the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA), reflects AIDMI’s decade-long contribution to advancing disaster risk reduction in India and South Asia. The report highlights efforts to mainstream climate risk management through pro-poor district disaster management plans in Assam and Jammu & Kashmir, school safety programs for over 900 teachers, and innovative initiatives like disaster microinsurance for small businesses. AIDMI also conducted urban risk and hospital safety assessments, promoted integration of climate change adaptation (CCA) with disaster risk reduction (DRR), and contributed to shaping the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR). Through partnerships with NDMA, UNICEF, and UNDP, AIDMI continued to empower vulnerable communities, strengthen institutional capacities, and transform disaster response into long-term resilience building.
