Back to Annual Report
The All India Disaster Mitigation Institute (AIDMI) Annual Report 2019–2020 showcases the organisation’s extensive work in advancing disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA) across India and South Asia. During the year, AIDMI focused on community-based resilience through research, capacity building, and partnerships, conducting studies on floods, climate-smart agriculture, and early warning systems, while supporting safer schools and resilient urban planning. The report highlights its collaboration with government agencies, UNDP, and other partners, aligning efforts with the Prime Minister’s 10-Point Agenda on DRR. Operating in 18 Indian states and nine Asian countries, AIDMI continued to bridge policy, practice, and research—empowering vulnerable communities and transforming disaster recovery into opportunities for sustainable and inclusive development
