In response to global demand, the All India Disaster Mitigation Institute (AIDMI) organised the Virtual Roundtable on ‘Parametric Insurance Solutions for All’ on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 04:00 PM to 05:15 PM IST. The roundtable explored innovative financial mechanisms for disaster resilience, featuring leading experts and practitioners. It brought together experts, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss ways to enhance risk financing through parametric insurance.

The three key objectives of the roundtable were:

  • to identify scalable parametric insurance solutions tailored to the needs of vulnerable communities;

  • to foster direct collaboration among government agencies, insurers, and development partners for policy advancement; and

  • to highlight good practices and technological innovations that can enhance the efficiency and accessibility of parametric insurance.
